ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION
It consists of strength training through neuromuscular electrostimulation without joint overload, using Compex EMS Technology. It promotes 100% muscle fiber recruitment without causing fatigue and activates muscles that are not normally requested in a conventional workout. The result is maximum efficiency, with rapid gains in muscle strength, especially in the lower limbs.

Muscle Strengthening without Joint Overload
CONCEPT
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) stimulates nerve fibers using electrical impulses transmitted by electrodes to promote muscle contraction. We use Compex Technology, which offers specific programs for muscle work with safety, comfort, and effectiveness. In voluntary contraction, the brain sends a command to the nerve fibers in the form of an electrical signal that promotes muscle contraction. Electrostimulation reproduces precisely the process involved in a voluntary contraction. The neuromuscular stimulation caused by the electrical current improves the brain-muscle connection of the individual, who, after a program of electrical stimulation, will better activate, control, and voluntarily recruit the muscle stimulated during daily activities and sports.
How does it work?
The exercises practiced through the EMS follow the overload principle (fundamental for the hypertrophy of muscle fibers), where we exert an isometric (static) muscular contraction against a resistance (free weights such as shin splints) without performing the arc of the movement, decreasing the overload on the joint, preserving it, and reducing the risk of injury. The advantage of the involuntary contraction generated by the EMS is the maintenance of the quality of the contraction (intensity, recruitment, etc.) throughout the exercise because the recruited motor units always work in synchrony, which does not occur with voluntary recruitment. Training by EMS promotes greater fiber recruitment over voluntary contraction. The greater the intensity of the stimulus supported by the individual, the greater the number of muscle fibers recruited. Therefore, we will have a more significant gain in strength in the muscles worked.
- The training session lasts about 30 minutes with 40 involuntary contractions without generating fatigue and joint overload during the training.
